Dr Romina Brignardello-Petersen
Dr. Brignardello-Petersen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact, at McMaster University (Canada). She obtained a DDS degree (2008) and an MSc in Biostatistics (2015) at the University of Chile, and an MSc (2012) and PhD (2016) in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the University of Toronto. Dr. Brignardello-Petersen's research and teaching focus on the development and application of methods for evidence-based decision-making, in particular systematic reviews and practice guidelines.

Abstract :
Systematic reviews are the type of evidence synthesis that dentists should use when they practice evidence-based decision-making. The aim of this workshop is to equip participants with tools for using systematic reviews to inform their practice. The 1-day workshop is composed of interactive lectures, small group activities, and discussion. Through the use of examples relevant to dentistry, participants will apply the main concepts.
