Each year, FDI awards grants to three to five your innovative prevention and access programmes for disadvantaged communities, with a maximum grant of 10,000 CHF.

Founded in 1999, the World Dental Development Fund (WDDF) inspires positive change by awarding an annual grant of CHF 10,000 to educational and sustainable oral health projects. The mission is to enhance oral health and prevent oral diseases in low-income areas, creating brighter futures for individuals and communities.
Applicant eligibility
FDI Regular and Associate Member Association as well as Non-member organizations.
Non-member applications can be submitted by organizations be they charitable, philanthropic or benevolent organizations, associations, educational institutions, governmental or local health authorities. Moreover, they also require an endorsement letter from an FDI Regular Member Association in the project's country.
Project eligibility
Project should be community-based and cover at least one of the following topics:
- oral health education;
- oral health promotion;
- oral disease prevention;
- oral healthcare delivery;
- oral health integration into primary healthcare.
Projects must benefit populations in low- or middle-income countries and/or disadvantaged populations. They must relate to local, regional or national strategic health aims within the country and should be developed in consultation with local authorities and stakeholders. Importantly, the projects must be completed within one year after receipt of the funding.
Deadline
The deadline to submit your application for WDDF grant is 15 June 2025.
