Abstact

Various medical emergencies could potentially occur in the dental office. Although rare, these emergencies vary in their severity and their recognition and management are of utmost importance. Personnel including clinicians, assistants and staff need to be prepared to deal with a medical emergency. This lecture focuses on the recognition and management of medical emergencies and the preparedness to deal with them.
