The far-reaching effects of global warming on our planet are becoming increasingly evident, and therefore many sectors are adopting greener practices for the sake of our environment. One such contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for approximately five percent, is the healthcare sector, including the oral healthcare sector. As a response, professionals from the field of oral health and dental organizations across the globe are actively pursuing sustainable practices to make a positive difference.
Recognizing the importance of sustainability in dental practice, the FDI Sustainability in Dentistry Award honors Sustainability Champions and provides global recognition for their efforts. FDI invites dental teams and individuals who have successfully implemented sustainable initiatives within their practices to apply for this prestigious award.
Seize the opportunity to win a Sustainability Award
The Sustainability Award celebrates and rewards those who can demonstrate that they implemented environmentally friendly practices within their dental practice. Each year, four awards are granted: two for dental teams, each receiving CHF 1000, and two for individuals, each receiving CHF 500. The winners will be announced during the FDI World Dental Congress, held in Sydney from September 24 to 27 this year.
