“Infections pay no respect to borders”: Spotlight on ADA FDI World Dental Congress speaker Dr Wendy Thompson
Background
Dr Wendy Thompson is an academic general dental practitioner at University of Manchester. Her research interests include antimicrobial stewardship and urgent dental care. She is lead author of FDI’s white paper on dental antibiotics and lead educator of the accompanying on-line course. Wendy is also consultant advisor to the Chief Dental Officer of England and a member of various national and international committees.
At the virtual Australian Dental Association (ADA) FDI World Dental Congress (26-29 September 2021), she will be presenting in four sessions on communicating about antimicrobial resistance and the impact of COVID-19 in dentistry.
